Fees and Registration
 PLEASE NOTE:  Each team is responsible for 50% ($45.00) of each game and Tournament game referee fees.  This must be in cash and in exact change. If you do not pay the referee the game will not be played and your team will be fined a forfeit fee of $100.00

Divisions of Play
The co-ed soccer league will consist at this time of up to twelve teams. These teams may be divided into two divisions but this will be determined once registration is complete. 
If 2 Divisions are created the following rule regarding levels of players on teams will apply: if the majority of a team’s players play division two or higher in fall, the team will be placed in division 1. If the majority of a team’s players play in division three or lower during the fall season then the team will be placed in division 2. There is no hard and fast rule and some adjustments may be made on a case-by-case basis.
 
Team Content
Each team will play a maximum of five men excluding the goalie on the field at one time. Goalies may be male or female. You may carry up to 25 players on your roster. A team must have a minimum of 7 players to field a team with at least 3 of those players being women.
Game Day Responsibility

  1. Each team to provide one match quality game ball.
  2. Each team to provide a net.
  3. Each team to provide 2 corner flag for grass fields.
  4. If jerseys conflict, home team must change or provide pinnies.
  5. Provide one league approved roster sheet for the referee and one for the opposing team. (2 team lists)
  6. Provide correct amount of money to referee ($35.00 / game) Ref’s do not provide change.
  7. All players must have government issued picture idea presented to the ref prior to game.
  8. All teams must provide a team roster printed from the league website that is not dated more then 5 days prior. *the waiver will show ineligible players
  9. Games kick off at scheduled kick off time!
  10. Minimum player age is 16 as of December 31st of playing season.
Rules of Play
The game will be governed in accordance with FIFA rules with the following exceptions:
  1. There will be no intentional sliding on the field of play except for the goalie, who will be allowed to slide without cleats showing. An intentional slide will be considered any time that a player attempts to play the ball from a position where he or she is not standing regardless if players are in the vicinity. The game is to restart with an indirect free kick anywhere in the field including the penalty area, unless there was a more serious offence (ex scoring opportunity or a dangerous play)  
  2. ALL Penalty kicks taken by women.
  3. One red card, two yellow cards in one game, or three yellow cards at any time in the season accumulatively, will result in a one game suspension. Red Cards can carry more than 1 game suspension depending upon what the infraction is. Any further infractions by an offending player will result in further discipline and potential banning from the league.
  4. Red cards for violent conduct or abuse of referee will carry over to League Tournament.
  5. All players must be registered by June 8th AND 24hours prior to game kickoff.
  6. A player must play in at least 3 regular season games in order to be eligible to play in the League Playoff.
  7. Drinking prior and during games is forbidden. Referee's will default the game and the team will be fined.  
  8. All players under 19 need to have a Parental Liability Acknowledgement Form completed and filed with the League prior to playing
  9. The games timer will commence at the game time scheduled even if the game has not commenced. A reduced time of game played may occur due to a late start.
  10. All players must complete the Liability Waiver found when registering as a player on a team prior to playing.
  11. All players need to be covered by BC Soccer player insurance. For those players who did not play in the previous fall season they will need to complete the Player Insurance Form and pay the insurance fee prior to playing
 
Forfeited Games
If your team does not show up for a scheduled game, or fails to pay the ref, you will be assessed a forfeit fee and the game will not be played. The fee will be $100.00; this must be paid in full before you can play your next game. Games for the Final Play Off weekend are included in this rule.
